Welcome to my new ham radio blog

(old call: KK4FGM)

I have had quite a few changes lately. I applied for a vanity call sign in July 2013, and I was granted my new call sign and purchased a new house. Many things in life have changed, so now I’m blogging from scratch. If you want to view any of my past adventures, check them out at http://tech-tut.com/ham/.

I’m in a new home, and I live in the city with a tiny yard and neighbors, so things will be much different. Such is the life of a ham that wants to keep the surroundings happy. No more crazy towers and and the like. Everything has to be incognito now.

Hope to hear you on the air!

  1. In just cruising about the internet I found your material. What caught my eye was your comment regarding your experience with your on-line college when studying engineering. What a horrible disaster!! It appears that you are fully capable of completing college courses for your blogs are well written and quite interesting. Unfortunately I do not have a solution to your education problem but I would encourage you to, somehow, salvage what courses you may have completed in “recognized” institutions and try to build on that base. Yes, $$ is always a problem but u should also check around for scholarships…or even an “angel” for help. 73

    1. Thanks for the comment. I think my college days might be over. That’s not a bad thing. I did gain a lot of knowledge and experience while in school. I work in a field that doesn’t require a college education, and I make great money doing it. I don’t worry too much about the degree. It might have actually been a blessing in disguise.
